Whether you choose to wear your favorite foods or your least favorite foods- or to elevate your food choices to the status of super hero (all you do is add a cape) it is all up to you. Here are some tips and ideas for bringing your funny food costumes to life.
Super Carrot, with the power of what else, but super vision! The carrot costume can be made easily if you have any sewing ability, or can be purchased. If you want to boost the carrot to super status, add a cape and off you go. Just don’t be shocked if all of the little kids are going to scream and cry at the mere sight of you.
A family could go as hot dog (daddy) and the condiments. Make sure that someone is mustard, ketchup and pickle relish. If you bring the family doggie with you, dress him as a mini hot dog too. Funny food costumes do not have to be just for the people, after all.
For the movie lover, a popcorn costume is a perfect choice. If you can’t find the right one in a Halloween shop or online, you can easily make this choice. Take a cardboard box and cut it out so that it fits around you. Paint the box red and white and print the words “pop corn” on the box, just so there is no confusion about what you are. Once the box is dry, add wads of crinkled yellow paper to the top to simulate popcorn.
Funny costumes can come from every food group, and they can be either great solo looks or perfect for couples. Think about the perfect choices: bacon and eggs, milk and cookies and fish and chips. Just make sure that if you are going as a couple costume, you get the better half!
