Whining patients and grabby old men, or even worse, old men who grab and whine at the same time! I don’t think anyone gives the nurses of the world the proper respect or credit. It takes a special person with a caring heart and a tender touch to care for the people that are entrusted to her (or him). For those of us who would like to be a nurse or even nurses who are taking on a new persona for the night, the nurse costume can be our way of showing our respect while working a little magic at the same time.
Nurse costumes come in many varieties from the retro look, the candy striper and of course, the naughty nurse. No matter what style you choose, you are certain to make a lot of temperatures rise, as everyone catches Ineedanurse Fever. The condition can cause drooling, stale pick up lines and breakuptitis so be careful. The men afflicted with this disease can sometimes be a little daffy, so be patient. And, that should end the puns right there!
Retro nurse costumes are a little more demure than the others with more buttons and less leg showing. However, they are still kind of sexy and many people like to choose them because they give far more mystery to reveal later. No self respecting retro nurse would ever show up without her starched white nurses cap and you should pair the costume with white hose and white shoes.
The candy striper is not really a nurse, but it is still an adorable costume. The red and white smock is how the stripers get their name and makes for a cute and playful look, no matter what the occasion may be.
The naughty nurse costumes are cut low, worn tight and nice and short. The old men who plague nurses around the globe would not have enough blood in their brains to reach out and grab if you were to show up to work in one of these numbers. Most of the naughty nurse costumes are made of silky material, however you can find them in white, wet looking leather for a way over the top choice. Pair your favorite with white fish net stocking and white pumps or white leather boots and you are off to cure the sick and raise the dead, you naughty thing!
