From jumping out from behind bushes, around the corner and from under tables, boys like to get our hearts pounding and make us just a little breathless. Think about it- what else makes you breathless like that? Of course boys like to scare girls because whether we are breathless from fear or from love, they get the same physical reaction. So men’s horror costumes are the best option for boys who grew up to be- slightly bigger boys. There are three major spooky costumes; however, there are some minor boogies and baddies to deal with as well.
Frankenstein
Oh poor misunderstood Frankie and his orthopedic shoes, the bolts in his neck and his huge aversion to fire, whatever will we do with you? Of course he is scary- you try wearing those shoes and see how friendly and frisky you feel. The best version of this costume starts with the squarish head and gruesome green face and works its wicked way on down to the clompy, stompy shoes. If you are one of the tallest guys in your crowd, you are the perfect, shoo in bet for Frankenstein.
Werewolf
Ooowwooo! Who is old fur face sniffing around after now? If you have been slapped in the mug and called a dog more times than you can count and sheepishly agree with the assessment more than a time or two, then the best choice in men’s horror costumes for you is the werewolf. Check your costume though- if you are patted on the head by little old ladies and offered woofie snacks from little kids, you are missing a little bit of snarl in the gear. If you only want to buy the mask, go for a higher end version and then wear a look that plays up the mask. You can be the teenage werewolf, the business wolf or any other type of wolf, all that it takes is a little imagination. If you want to be amusing, wear the werewolf mask with a sheep suit. Vampire
The very best of the major three men’s horror costumes is the vampire because look around: everyone is loving the undead in record numbers. Adopt the classic accent and impeccable manners of the old school vampire or jazz him up with a little bit of an updated look and feel.
The minor players in this little list of men’s horror costumes include the mummy, the zombie and the hobgoblin. If you would like to go with the really obvious choices, choose a teen slasher film and opt for the vicious killer from them. And make sure you are ready to handle all of the havoc that you create.
