Pirates of the Caribbean Costumes: Johnny Depp Not Included
Any fellow that wants a shot at a date with my sister should take up dressing as her heartthrob, Johnny Depp. However, if you are more Johnny Dip than Depp, you should try the next best thing; wearing one of the Pirates of the Caribbean costumes. I swear, the man could dress as a giant baby and my sister would still swoon but even I have to admit there is something bad boy sexy about the boozy, rude and often addled, Captain Jack Sparrow.
For the rest of us, there are enough of the Pirates of the Caribbean costumes to go around for the whole family, from children to adult sizes. Not only is Jack Sparrow one of your choices, the options include Elizabeth, ( three different versions of this character, in fact.) Davy Jones (the scary creature and definitely not the handsome Monkee!) and Maccus the Sharkman. And if the costumes don’t get you in the mood to sing see shanties and drink tankards of ale, then there are accessories to make you feel even more pirated up!
Elizabeth- the Good, the Girl-pirate and the Geisha
There are three different looks that you can choose to wear to recreate the look of Elizabeth’s Pirates of the Caribbean costumes. From the ladylike white dress when she is being all girly to the pirate costume- you are sure to be able to find the right Elizabeth look for you. And, if you would like to make sure that you are a little more different than everybody else, you could choose the geisha costume that Elizabeth wore in the third installment of the series.
Davy Jones and Maccus the Sharkman
If you are ready to be the scary (scarier than a drunken pirate!) member of the family these two options are right for you. Davy Jones has a squid face and Maccus is well, a sharkman. Both costumes are in adult and children’s sizes.
Pirate Costume Accessories
The Pirates of the Caribbean costume of your choice will not be complete until you add some of the accessories that will fully unleash your Captain Jack. Even the most uptight guy is going to let his guard down a little bit when he slips on the pirate hat with beaded braids and starts staggering about. Johnny Depp said he modeled Captain Jack after Keith Richards- maybe you could model your own performance on a slightly less boozy rock star. Hey look- my sister is winking at you!
