Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults
Are you looking for a cool Halloween costume idea that will make you say “Eureka, I’ve got it”. Well, here are a few ideas to get you started. If you plan ahead and start early on your Halloween Costume, you will end up with the very best Halloween costume outfit, along with the finishing touches that will make it the talk of the evening.
Here are a few Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults.
The Eureka Guy: This one’s so simple that you literally can step out the bathtub, put a towel on, and head out the door. Now remember Archimedes was the Greek scholar famous for running through the streets naked, crying “Eureka”. And all because he’d caused his bathtub to overflow and in doing so, discovered the theory of volume. First buy yourself some decent boxer shorts. Then find your favorite flannels and cut them off above the knee. A singlet or a skin-colored t-shirt will work. Write out the word Eureka in big capital letters on your towel or on the back of a flannel dressing gown, and you’re off and running. And lastly, a laurel wreath might come handy. Archimedes didn’t wear one, but it’s brilliant for helping get the party-goers say: “Hey aren’t you that Greek dude that…”
Then of course you’ve got the Pizza Delivery guy, and that is one of the easiest outfits you can put together. Wear jeans, a t-shirt and good walking shoes, and then show up with 2 pizza boxes as part of your delivery, and one slice in the hand.
Striped Zebra: Now this is definitely a Halloween Costume idea that’s fun. Hunt in your closet for any zebra print t-shirts and pick up a pair of zebra stockings. Then focus on the face-painting. Find a picture of a real zebra and copy the stripes. For the muzzle, paint a black outline along the bottom part of the nose and around the mouth and color this area, even the lips in black. Then draw a diamond shape on the forehead and add some stripes on either side. On the cheeks, draw stripes that radiate outward from the cheeks. Finally, fill in the empty spaces with white paint. Pick up some bunny ears from the costume shop and bend them so they’re more diamond shaped and then paint the inside partly in black. Add a tail made out of plain white stocking. For the hooves, wear black socks over your hands and black shoes on your feet.
The Lion Costume: Again, this one’s great with a touch of face paint. Pick up some shaggy lion hair from a costume shop and a lion’s tail. Wear whatever clothes you have that are orangey-gold.
Men in Black: Black suit, black tie, black shoes and black sunglasses. It’s a simple as this. And then an alien gun, and why not glue an alien mask looking over your shoulder.
Picasso: Paint your face like a famous painting, like Picasso’s cubism paintings. Next, you want to attach an empty picture frame around your face. Keep the rest of your clothing black or white. Then write a famous quote from the artist on the back of your t-shirt with a glow-in-the-dark fabric pen. Or you could wear a Picasso t-shirt and then to hang a light picture frame on a string around your neck, so that the image on the t-shirt is framed.
The Pillow Fight: You’ll need two pillows, one that you’ll wear and one that you’ll carry with you, and lots of extra pillow stuffing. Add some talcum powder to your face and into your hair so that you look pale.
The Witch Costume: A classic but favorite. One black dress is all you need. Make a v-neck and then add small holes in the fabric and lace a black shoelace though the holes. Tear the hem so that it’s got a jagged edge. Wear black stockings and boots. And then make a trip to the costume shop for a witch’s hat. Use dark eye shadow around the eyes, dark lipstick, and black nail polish. Then use hair products in your hear and mess it up, or put on a black wig. Take along a broom with twigs tied to the end, and your magic spell book. And if you happen to have a black cat, take her with you too.
Enjoy Halloween and we hope that these easy Halloween costume ideas for Adults help you to plan your costume for Halloween.
