Plus Size Lady Bug Costume

Alright. I will admit it, I love Halloween. I love the decorations, the candy, the kids running around in their cute gear, the candy. Okay, so I mentioned candy twice, a girl has to have her priorities, right? Which brings me to my beef du jour. I especially love Halloween costumes, and have many of them myself. (Think of me as a very blonde Peter Pan, refusing to grow up. Ever.) My problem is that although I will not grow up, I did grow out- a lot, which means that nearly every truly adorable or super sexy costume is not going to fit me correctly. In fact, before I even get to my core topic, let me mention that to you all: most costumes fit a wee bit on the smaller side so shop carefully.

Oh, but don’t get your knickers in a twist because it’s not like there are not a lot of gorgeous costumes that will fit, and the only one who has to be hung up on the size is you. If it bothers you so badly, hack it off. There, problem solved. So, now without further ado, because you know how much I love to ado: the plus sized lady bug costume! I will tell you this, I don’t think I have been so excited about a costume since, well, last year, but still, this one is pretty adorable.

For those of you who are rolling your eyes and thinking I am out of my ever loving mind to pick a lady bug, a plus sized lady bug costume at that, as my favorite for the year, listen carefully. I picked it because it works. Red and black satin? Sexy. Mini dress? Super sexy. Matching thigh high stockings? Oh, yeah baby, you guessed it. And what’s more, this is the kind of dress that is flattering for many body types- even those of who tend to be busting out of the top of most outfits anyway. (In my opinion girl’s who are built like me are almost always going to be destined for the tavern wench costume, another personal fave of mine.)  This one is stretchy enough to give a little bit where you need it, but clingy enough to hug your curves like your man is going to do when he sees you in this. There is nothing plain Jane about this costume and you will never look at other lady bugs the same way ever again.

We all know that I am a huge fan of talking about accessories to go with the costumes and I am not going to disappoint. The plus size lady bug costume has, are you ready for this? Matching shoes. Oh, I think I might be in Halloween costume heaven!
