Adult Halloween Costumes: Nursery Rhyme Characters
Some adults just never grow up. Others just never let themselves feel like a kid. And then there are those who can feel like a kid again, but only on Halloween. For those, I give you the Adult Halloween costumes, nursery rhyme characters edition. Some of your favorite, classic nursery rhymes brought to living, breathing color- in the best, adorable, sexy or way out there costumes this side of Mother Goose Land. Some of my favorites, in no particular order:
1. Little Bo Peep
Oh, the poor little girl who lost her sheep! Well, she won’t have time to worry about her fleecy friends for long when the fellows spot her in this adult Halloween costume, believe me. Big hoop skirt, blue dress, bonnet and blonde curls equal one adorable costume. Take out the hoop, shorten the blue dress but keep the bonnet and blonde curls and you have the sexy version of this one as well. Add a stuffed sheep for a really cute touch.

2. Little Red Riding Hood
Who’s that walking in these woods? The red, hooded cape, the little red and white dress- the ability to outsmart wolves, who didn’t love this chick? The basic costume starts with the red and white dress, adds the hooded cape and you are ready to go. The sexy version shortens the length of the skirt a bit but otherwise doesn’t change much else. I would add really great long, black leather boots.
3. The Humpty Dumpty Costume
Okay, there is no making this one sexy, I am sorry, but that is not the point. The point is however this is an amusing costume and one that would be very good for those who might be a little more reluctant to make every single adult Halloween costume choice a sexy one. Funny, one piece costume that looks like both egg and brick wall, you will at the very least get more than your share of laughs with this one.
4. The Little Pigs
So, they don’t really know anything about the contracting business and they get harassed by a wolf- no biggie for these little guys. Perfect costume for any nursery rhyme story that includes a piggy or two and the perfect costume for someone who is always willing to ham it up.
You know what they say, if you are going to end with a pun, make it a really bad one.
