Five Great Super Hero Costumes for Adults

I bet you think that I am going to say Batman or Superman. While those are great, classic Hall Halloween Super Hero Costumes for many reasons (that utility belt alone makes Batman ultra cool, after all) they are not going to make the list this time. It’s time that we let other superheroes have a little bit of the limelight for a change. That means that the Bat and his “Super” pal can sit on the sidelines and watch these five great super hero costumes get their moment in the sun:

1. Mr. Incredible. The Mr. Incredible superhero costume comes with muscles that the man himself wished he had. Called back into action after a lengthy retirement, Mr. Incredible found a hard, sad fact of life: he could not squeeze his pudgy backside and jiggly gut into his superhero costume anymore. That and the fact that Mr. Incredible is voiced by Craig T. Nelson makes him one cool superhero and one of the five great super hero costumes for adults.

2. Catwoman. Okay, before anyone points this out, I know that Catwoman was more villain than superhero, but she had her moments. Besides, who is not going to forgive the woman when she is wearing that look? Either go with classic Catwoman – the tight, full catsuit and cat claw gloves or with the more modern look which is sexy to say the least. (Halle Berry really rocked this one.) A midriff baring, leather look halter and leather look pants plus the really cool mask make this one hot, great superhero costume. (Even if she isn’t so much of a hero.)

3. Spiderman. Okay, so I banned Bats and Superman from the list, but left Spidey alone. As a great superhero costume, Spiderman is right up there with the other two, but usually lower on the list and always after them- so here he gets to shine a little brighter. We all know the costume: full body suit, blue with red top, spider emblem on the front, and full mask. What makes this one even greater is the ability to add really cool accessories like the silly string shooting “web blaster”. Even Batman couldn’t make spider webs come out of his wrist.

4. Wonder Woman. Just the bling alone makes this one great superhero costume, but you’ve got to admit, the flag never looked quite so patriotic or so sexy. From the star spangled leotard, the satin look cape and the gold, bullet defecting bracelets, Wonder Woman is a cool superhero and a great costume choice.

5. The Incredible Hulk. Oh, I am sensing a theme here, two mentions of the word “incredible”? Mere coincidence, I assure you. Okay, the Incredible Hulk is not so much costume as it is makeup and accessories but it is still worth mentioning and still earns the title, great superhero costume. For those who are really brave, use the makeup to make your hold upper body green, add the wig and the oversized Hulk hands and you have got it made. Do not wear this if the temperature is going to be very low because the Hulk is not supposed to be blue!
