Transformers Bumblebee Child CostumeWondering what the little kiddies will be wearing to scare the candy out of the neighbors this year? Bracing yourself for the onslaught of shouting for the best and hottest costume for this year? Look no further than the movie theatres for some idea of what will be topping the Halloween costume wish list for children this year.

Some of the hottest selling costumes are going to be from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, of course with the kids getting to choose between being either a good guy ( Autobot) or a bad guy (Decepticon). The ultimate in Transformer wear? Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobot good guys. Look for lots of variations on this and other Transformer costumes with or without accessories.

Next on the list will be characters from the live action version of GI Joe, another action movie. Again, the kids will get to choose between good guy and bad guy here and may base their decision on who has the coolest accessories necessary to complete their costume!

For girls, look for plenty of little Mileys or Hannah Montanas to be around your neighborhood as the continued success of both the Disney series and the featured film continue. Little boys may forego the action hero route and dress as the Jonas Brothers, but look for them to be outnumbered by Mileys/Hannahs.

Hannah Montana Child CostumeTinkerbell got her own series and a set of DVDs which means that fairies will continue to be a hot costume idea for many little girls. Again, accessories are a big part of the fairy costume and can make a good choice a great one in the wave of a, well, wand.

Finally, for the younger children, look for adorable costumes from not only their favorite animated shows but from the animal kingdom as well. Dora the Explorer, the Wonder Pets and others will surely be well represented, as will the perennial favorites; lions, tigers and bears. Oh my.
