Dr Evil Costume

Every international man of mystery has to have three things in his life: a shagedelic, groovy baby to work his mojo on, some far out catch phrases and a ultra-sinister arch nemesis to thwart as often as possible. (Or, at least for as many sequels as you can muster.) Of course, every super spy will come up against countless interesting villains, henchmen and cronies during his adventures, but all of those lead him back to the head honcho, the super mind behind the super plots, Dr. Evil. Hey, throw him a bone he did not spend six years in evil medical school to be called Mister, thank you very much.

Dr. Evil, the psychopathic, egomaniac that is hell-bent on world domination and the thorn in Austin Power’s side, is a great costume especially for those who need to let a little of their mad genius personality out for a night. (We all have it, some just hide it far better than others.) Dr. Evil is hopelessly behind in the times, has an oddball fascination with the concept of sharks with lasers mounted to their heads and couldn’t pull of any of his schemes to save his evil life, but, bless his black and devious little heart, he keeps on trying over and over and over again. It’s almost cute.

To get the right look for your Dr. Evil costume, start with a bland, gray suit, preferably one with a high collar. You can find countless versions of the Dr. Evil suit online, including those that are officially licensed, however, you can also pull your own together if you prefer. No matter what you wear, make sure that you add in flat black shoes and the more important accessories and mannerisms to pull of the look to your best evil advantage.

Start with a bald cap- Dr. Evil is completely bald and completely smooth so if you do not have that as your natural look, then make sure that you are using a good quality bald cap to achieve it. Second, there is a large and rather thick looking scar on Dr. Evil’s face which increases his sinister appearance. Using a make up kit is a great way to get the scar right- just make sure that you are reading all of the directions before you start. Remember, some of the adhesives that are available can be very strong. Finally, make sure that you are using Dr. Evil’s catch phrases and mannerisms to set the tone correctly. Keep your pinky near your mouth as you make your demands and always be just a little off, no matter what you are asking for.
